The extended Liberty Square Shopping facility at Kings Hill, West Malling in Kent that includes the renovation of the War-time fighter station control tower was completed in May 2013. This coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Dambusters raid which was marked by a public ceremony of commemoration and for which Coblands Landscapes made floral displays including a RAF Roundel using 1500 petunias.
The soft landscape scheme that includes semi-mature and extra heavy standard trees was designed by David Jarvis Associates and forms part of the continuing development of the central Kings Hill area.
“A big thank you for all the support, time and hard work put in by the Coblands team in helping to organise the event yesterday which clearly went a long way towards making the Kings Hill Dambusters commemoration such a total success.
It turned out to be a tremendous day with over 700 attendees.
The memorial area, control tower and piazza looked stunning and the event secured some brilliant media coverage for Kings Hill.
Not only did the day prove to be a befitting tribute to the memory of the Dambusters, but also ignited great community spirit and pride in Kings Hill heritage.”
